What is your name, title, credentials, and speciality?

I am Jenifer Kiernan-Story, a physical therapist at Mangiarelli Rehabilitation. I specialize in treating patients with vestibular dysfunction and vertigo and women’s health (pre-and post-natal back pain and bladder dysfunction). I am certified in dry needling and kinesiotape.

What brought you to Mangiarelli Rehabilitation?

Paula! She allowed me the flexibility in my work hours to make it to my son’s after school extracurricular activities. She has a wonderful reputation in the community.

How long have you worked here?

I’ve worked at Mangiarelli Rehabilitation for 9 years.

Can you briefly describe your role at Mangiarelli Rehabilitation?

I am a full-time physical therapist. I supervise PTA students and evaluate and treat a variety of patient diagnoses of all ages.

Can you describe your specialty (or specialties)?

I specialize in treating patients with vestibular dysfunction and vertigo and women’s health (pre-and post-natal back pain and bladder dysfunction). I am certified in dry needling and kinesiotape.

What is your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of my job is working with high-level, skilled therapists and helping individuals with pain and physical impairments improve their function and quality of living.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I exercise and do weight-training with my husband. We love to travel, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy our yard and pool in the summer.

What do you wish people knew about physical therapy?

I wish people knew that physical therapists do more than massage! Exercise and moving makes you better!
